2 policemen killed in road mishap

Lucknow, Nov 7: Two police personnel were killed and three others injured when a police jeep carrying them collided with a vehicle in Mainpuri district last night, police today said.

The accident took place on the Mainpuri-Bevar highway under Bevar police station area, where the ill-fated jeep rammed into a vehicle coming from the opposite direction.

While Police Sub Inspector Suraj Singh and constable Dhananjay Singh died on the spot, three injured policemen were rushed to the hospital, police added.

A case was registered.

Mumbai, Nov 7: Within a week of announcing its new industrial policy, the Maharashtra Government today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Supreme Petrochem Ltd (SPL)and Supreme Industries Ltd (SIL) for investment of Rs 1415 crore.The investment of Rs 1115 crore by SPL comprises of investment at its site in Nagothane in Raigad district to build a world class styrenics complex.
