TN traders body convey support to Delhi traders

Chennai, Nov 7: Members of the Tamil Nadu Traders Federation (TNTF) staged a slogan-shouting demonstration here today in support of the ongoing agitation by Delhi traders against the Supreme Court order to resume sealing of commercial establishments in residential areas of the national capital.

Speaking on the occasion, TNTF President Mr T Vellaiyan urged the Centre to enact special legislation and protect the interests of about five lakh traders. He also appealed to the Supreme Court to review its verdict.

Association General Secretary K Mohan said to extend solidarity and support to the agitating Delhi traders, the federation would organise similar protests all over Tamil Nadu, shortly.

Rains continue to lash Southern Tamil Nadu, one killed
