Select cotton price eases on poor spinners' demand

Mumbai, Nov 7 (UNI) Select cotton prices eased on poor spinners demand, traders at the East India Cotton Exchange today said.

Cotton varieties like Sankar-6-A grade declined by Rs 600 per candy while LRA by Rs 500 per candy and Y-1 by Rs 300 per candy on increased offer by stockists. But H-4 rose by Rs 200 per candy on improved demand.

Following are the spot new cotton rates per candy in rupees: Bengal Desi: Rs 14,700, V-797: Rs 13,000, Karnataka Jayadhar: Rs 15,400, Y-1: Rs 15,700, Punjab J-34: Rs 15,900 (new), NHH-44: Rs 16,800, LRA: Rs 17,000, H-4: Rs 17,600, S-6-A grade: Rs 18,500 (new), Bunny/Brahma: Rs 19,200, MCU-5: Rs 19,000, DCH-32: Rs 34,500, 26-MM: Rs 16,600 (new).
