Saurashtra Univ taking on Prbaha Univ in Inter-Univ opener

Rajkot, Nov 7 (UNI) The West Zone Inter-University Cricket Tournament began here today, with Saurashtra University (SU) taking on Prabha University of Maharashtra at the varsity ground.

The tournament, organised by SU, has attracted 40 teams from six states of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Goa, the organisers said.

The match to be played at five different venues -- SU ground, Rajkumar College ground, European Gymkhana ground, Railway Cricket ground and Police Parade ground -- will conclude on November 25, sources informed.

Islamabad, Nov 7 (UNI) India's Rohan Bopanna and Mustafa Ghouse overcame stiff resistance from Pakistani pair of Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi and Aqeel Khan to win the first leg of the Indo-Pak tennis series 2-1 here today.
