Rajesh Nambiar appointed VP, GM for IBM India Global Delivery

Bangalore, Nov 7 (UNI) IBM today announced the appointment of Mr Rajesh Nambiar as the Vice President and General Manager of Global Delivery at IBM India.

Mr Nambiar, to be based in the city, would further refine IBM's globally integrated delivery framework, focus on client satisfaction levels and development of talent pool in India, IBM said in a release here.

He would replace Mr Mats Agervi, who had been appointed as the Vice President - Strategic Outsourcing, Global Technology Services at IBM Nordics.

IBM said Mr Nambiar would also synergise IBM's globally benchmarked processes, talent pool and vast global network of centres to ensure operational and cost efficiencies that would allow IBM India to better adapt to the changing market and client demands for transformation and innovation.

IBM India, with 43,000 employees, was one of the key service delivery locations for IBM. Global Delivery in India offered end-to-end solutions to clients, consulting and application services, infrastructure and business process management services.

Rowdy murdered near Chennai Central

Chennai, Nov 07 (UNI) An notorious rowdy wanted in several cases was brutally murdered by a gang in front of the busy Chennai Central Railway station here today. Constable guns down wife

Gulbarga, Nov 7 (UNI) A police constable of District Armed Reserve (DAR) today shot dead his wife with his service rifle, suspecting her fidelity. Police said that constable Siddharamappa picked up a quarrel with his wife, Saibavva (40) this morning and in a fit of rage, he fired two rounds at her from his service rifle.
