Novelist Padmanabhan gets 'Thapasya' puraskaram

Kozhikode, Nov 7 (UNI) Malayalam Novelist T Padmanabhan has been selected for 'Thapasya Sanjan Puraskaram' for his outstanding contrbution to literature.

The award carrying a purse of Rs 50,000, plaque and citation, instituted by Thapasya Art and Literary Forum, would be presented to him at a function at Kochi on December 2, Forum Working President P Balakrishan said in a release here today.

Ahmedabad, Nov 7 (UNI) Two people were killed when lightning struck them in Hansod village of Ankleshwar after unseasonal rains followed by hailstorm lashed several parts of Gujarat today.
