Vadodara, Nov 7 (UNI) Former chief selector Kiran More today emanded apology by Australian cricket board for its players misbehaviour with BCCI president Sharad Pawar during the Champions Trophy final prize distribution ceremony in Mumbai on Sunday.
''It is most unfortunate. Both ICC and the Australian Cricket Board must take cognizance of the incident and the latter should apologise to the BCCI president for its players' misbehaviour,'' More told newspersons here.
More also said that middle-order batsman Yuvraj Singh non- availability for the one-day series against South Africa due to injury was as a huge loss for India.
India, which failed to make it to the last four in the just concluded Champions Trophy because of batting failure, badly missed the services of in-form Yuvraj who suffered a tear in his left knee during a warm-up ahead of the most crucial India-Australia match.
However, More said India would bounce back with a couple of wins and do better in future.
The former chief selector gave full credit to West Indies for their brilliant performance against India in Ahmedabad match.
More also defended the team management for continuing with its experimental policy.
This had helped Irfan Pathan prove his batting prowess and emerge as a good all-rounder, he said, adding that return of medium-pacer Zaheer Khan in the team would further strengthen the side's bowling department.
