KVK unit adjudged best

Rajahmundry, Nov 7 (UNI) Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) in East Godavari has been adjudged as the best KVK in the zone during 2005-06 on the basis of performance evaluation index developed in coordination with the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), according to Dr V Krishnamurthy of the Central Tobacco Research Institute (CTRI.) Addressing the press, Dr Krishnamurthy and KVK Programme Coordinator P Subbaiah said the ICAR aimed to have at least one KVK in each district in the country to bring awarness to farmers on laboratory to land techniques besides knowledge on integrated pest management for improving the economic condition of the farmers.

Hyderabad, Nov 7 (UNI) Isolated rain occurred over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Rayalaseema in the last 24 hours. Bengal to get two more universities during 11th Plan period

New Delhi, Nov 7: The government today said that Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) will be tied to fuel Ratnagiri Gas and Power Private Limited (RGPPL) and will be procured by the end of March 2007 mainly from Qatar and Abdu Dhabi.''We are very close to tying up the fuel agreement,'' to run Dabhol which is being currently run on more expensive Naptha, Petroleum Minister Murli Deora said on the sidelines of the signing of the Coal Bed Methane (CBM).....
