Heavy rains likely at Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kearal

Pune, Nov 7 (UNI) Night temperatures were appreciably to markedly above normal in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat Region, south Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, north Chattisgarh, Telangana, Rayalaseema and in some parts of Bihar, Uttaranchal and of Saurashtra, Kutch and were above normal in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Jammu and Kashmir, north Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh and in some parts of Karnataka and in remaining parts of Bihar, Uttaranachal and of Saurashtra and Kutch.

They were normal over the rest of the country.

Northeast monsoon has been active in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

Heavy rains are likely to occur at many places in Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka and Kerala.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, interior Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Assam and Meghalaya, Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Saurashtra, Kutch, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and Telangana.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Jharkhand, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.

Heavy rains have occurred at most places in Kerala and at many places in Tamil Nadu.

Very light rain have occurred at isolated places in Saurashtra, Kutch and Telangana.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in coastal Karnataka, south interior Karnataka and at a few places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, north interior Karnataka, Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Assam, Meghalaya, Orissa and madhya Maharashtra.

'Govt to cut fuel prices after studying scenario'

India to sign labour agreement with Gulf nations

Kumaraswamy discusses terror threat with Patil

New Delhi, Nov 7 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today discussed the security situation in the state with Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil, in view of the intelligence inputs suggesting potential terror threat to vital installations in Bangalore and elsewhere in the state.
