Delhi, Orissa schools register wins in Nehru Hockey

New Delhi, Nov 7 (UNI) Town High School, Sundergarh (Orissa) downed Gurgaon Senior Secondary School 1-0, while Union Academy Senior secondary School, Delhi got the better of Bangladesh Institution of Sports 2-1 in the super league matches of the 35th Nehru Junior Hockey Tournament here today.

Kishore Lakra's 26th minute goal made all the difference as Sundergarh school defended the lead till the end to emerge victorious.

Playing against the team from Bangladesh, Union Academy Senior secondary School, Delhi took the lead through Ashok Kumar in the 29th minute for a one-goal cushion in the breather and buttressed the lead through Athar Mirza's field goal in the 46th minute.

The Bangla boys, however, didn't give in and reduced the margin in the 56th minute when Mohd Shamsud Alam Sujan converted a penalty corner. But that was all they could do in the match as the Delhi team beefed up the defence and thwarted all moves to walk away with a win.

The other match of the day saw Government Model High School, Chandigarh being held to a 1-1 draw by the Lyallpur Khalsa Senior Secondary School, Jalandhar.

Harmanpreet Singh Bal sounded the board for the Chandigarh side in the 24th minute but they could not defend the lead and Jagdeep Singh cashed in on a penalty corner to score the equaliser for the Jalandhar team.

Sobha Developers files Red Herring Prospectus with the ROC

Mumbai, Nov 7 (UNI) Sobha Developers (SDL), one of India's leading real estate development and construction companies, today announced that they are proposing an Initial Public Offering (IPO) of its equity shares. The company has filed its Red Herring Prospectus with the Registrar of Companies, Karnataka. SDL proposes to issue 8,893,332 equity shares of Rs ten each at a price band of Rs 550-Rs 640 per share through the 100 per cent Book Building.....
