CRPF company HQ in Srinagar attacked, 2 injured

Srinagar, Nov 7: Militants attacked company headquarter of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in the down town city this afternoon.

Official sources said militants fired a rifle grenade towards the headquarter set up in Shiraz cinema at 1645 hours.

The grenade exploded in the camp compound causing injuries to two CRPF personnel. The injured were hospitalised, they said.

A resident told sources that blast was followed by firing by the security forces deployed in the area. However, no one was injured in the firing.

The area was cordoned off and traffic on the Srinagar- Hazratbal shrine road was suspended.

Militants made about dozens attacks on the camp since it was set up in early nineties.
