Copper, nickel rises on better industrial demand

Mumbai, Nov 7 (UNI) Copper and nickel today rose on better industrial demand and zinc slab shot up on lesser stock supply. The London Metal Exchange remained steady on moderate demand, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange said.

Following were the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 36,200, copper utensils - Rs 32,500, brass utensils - Rs 23,500, brass cuttings - Rs 27,000 and aluminium utensils - Rs 11,600.

Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 40,500, aluminium ingots - Rs 14,000, zinc slab - Rs 24,100, lead ingots - Rs 8,000, tin slab - Rs 575 (per kg) and nickel cathode - Rs 1,900 (per kg).
