Chinese Prez to visit India from November 20-23

New Delhi, Nov 7: Chinese President Hu Jintao will pay a State visit to India from November 20-23 during which he will hold talks with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and other senior leaders on various aspects of bilateral relations, including the border dispute.

Announcing this here today, an External Affairs Ministry spokesman said the visit, at the invitation of President APJ Abdul Kalam, ''is part of the high level exchanges between India and China in recent years.'' Apart from New Delhi, the Chinise President will visit Agra and Mumbai.

During the visit, Mr Hu Jintao will call on President Kalam, who will also host a state banquet in his honour.

''President Hu Jintao will hold talks with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and interact with other senior leaders, among his other engagements,'' the spokesman said.

India should attract more US BPO companies: Rafiq Doassani

Ashok Leyland reports 69.5 pc sales hike

Chennai, Nov 07: Hinduja Group Flagship Ashok Leyland has reported 69.5 per cent hike in sales for October 2006.Domestic sales were up 73 per cent, to 6,798 vehicles (3,921 vehicles in October 2005) exports up 27 per cent, at 457 vehicles during the month, a company release here said. The company had sold 7,255 vehicles during this month, compared to 4,281 vehicles sold in October last year. The cumulative sales were up 36 per cent and cumulative.....
