Akamba alleges BRTF of selling road materials to public

Kohima, Nov 07 (UNI) Nagaland Congress' senior leader R L Akamba has alleged the Border Road Organization (BRO), presently working as the Border Road Task Force (BRTF), of selling huge road construction materials to the public.

In a statement here today Mr Akamba said thousands of cement bags provided to the BRTF for construction of roads in the state, have been sold in the local market.

Besides, stone chips, sand and drums of bitumen were also being sold to the local people for personal gain.

Expressing his surprise and anger, Mr Akamba said such corruptions were responsible for poor communication facilities in the state's interior areas, especially in Kiphire district bordering Myanmar.

He said if the things prevail in this way then the state would lag behind the other developed ones in every field.

Sensex strikes 13,300 on all-round optimism

Mumbai, Nov 7: Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex soared as many as 113.80 points to reach 13,300.69 points in the opening trade on the firm global advice, brokers said here this morning.A steady-to-firm trend in most Indian ADRs yesterday aided the early upmove. Mumbaikar murders wife and daughter before committing suicide
