Advinus Therapeutics, Veeda CR forge strategic alliance

Mumbai, Nov 7 (UNI) Advinus Therapeutics and Veeda CR have forged a strategic alliance to leverage each other's capabilities to create an integrated drug discovery platform.

The alliance will offer packages involving preclinical and early clinical development, animal and human safety pharmacology, preclinical toxicology and pharmacology, clinical pharmacology as also microdosing capabilities to pick drug candidates.

The alliance will seek to leverage Veeda's biomarkers capabilities for clinical and clinical applications, a company press release here today said. Existing clients of both the companies will also be able to leverage the seamless preclinical and early clinical development capabilities of the alliance.

Advinus CEO and MD Dr Rashmi Barbhaiya said, ''Veeda CR is a partner of choice because of its technical expertise in handling complex early clinical development trials, compliance with regulatory standards and focus on ethics.'' Dr Apurva Shah, MD, Veeda CR said, ''Our combined capabilities will offer unique opportunities for developing INDs and for early clinical development to our clients in a seamless manner.'' Mysore, Nov 7 (UNI) Forty students at a government school in Karnataka were taken ill after consuming mid-day meals served in the school today. 12 fishermen arrested, sent to jail custody

Kendrapada, Nov 07 (UNI) Twelve fishermen were arrested by the forest officials for illegally entering the restricted zone inside Gahirmatha Marine Sanctuary of Bhitarkanika National park for fishing. The officials also seized two fishing vessels used by the fishermen yesterday for illegally fishing despite a ban imposed on fishing inside the sanctuary.
