Russian Paraglider returns safe

Dharamshala, Oct 25 (UNI) The Russian paraglider, who had crash landed in the forest area between Chamunda and Jadrangal of Kangra district, has returned safely back, tourism sources said.

Though the rescue and retrieval teams had failed in locating the paraglider, identified as Alexy, 35, due to pitch darkness, he himself returned back to his camp.

The sources said Alexy had crash landed in a forest area Bagiara, about 20 kms from here, due to a technical snag and walked up to the main road from where he took a vehicle back.

Earlier, Tourism Deputy Director Manoj Sharma had told UNI that pilots had informed that a pilot had crash landed in a forest area in the district, forcing the authorities to rush rescue and retrieval teams to scour the area.
