ZTC appeals to undergrounds

Kohima, Oct 18: The Zunheboto Town Council and the Zunheboto Town GBs' Association have jointly appealed to the warring Naga underground factions not to stay in the town with arms and ammunition.

A press release issued jointly by ZTC deputy chairperson Kitoho S. Rotokha, the GBs' Association general secretary Vihoto Chophy and its vice-chairman Luzheto Ayo said a decision towards this effect was taken at an emergency consultative meeting held yesterday.

The decision was made in view of the ensuing school and college examinations, annual conference of social and churches'organisations, harvesting season and other festivals, the signatories added.

ICAR conducts training prog on cultivation of winter vegetables

Agartala, Oct 18: Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and Ramkrishna Krishak Samaj organised a day long training programme for the farmers of Kalikapur village here on Monday. About 50 farmers from Rampur, Kalikapur and Ranjitnagar villages neighbouring Agartala attended the programme. Asif is absolutely clean, asserts agent

Lahore, Oct 18 (UNI) Rejecting recent reports of cannabis indulgence by pacer Mohammad Asif, his London-based agent Azhar Majeed has clarified that the lanky bowler has never abused the substance and neither were the Pakistani players represented by him addicted to drugs.
