Three dead in road mishap

Howrah, Oct 18 (UNI) Three people died and one was seriously injured in an accident on National Highway at Dhulagarh under Sakrail police station early this morning.

The incident took place when a truck and a three wheeler collided with each other. The injured have been admitted to a hospital.

In another incident yesterday, red sandal wood worth Rs 25 lakh was recovered from a railway wagon which arrived from Andhra Pradesh at Howrah station, the Forest Department sources informed.

Social Forestry Howrah Divisional Additional Deputy Director P K Dutta said the goods were recovered with the asistance of police.

BJP leader nags government over water tariff

Itanagar, Oct 18 (UNI) BJP leader and former minister Lijum Ronya has criticised the Arunachal Pradesh government for the recently hiked potable water tariff. SCR to run special train

Vijayawada, Oct 18 (UNI) In order to clear the extra rush of passengers due to Diwali and Ramzan, the South Central Railway (SCR) would run a special train between Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam tomorrow. A railway official told UNI here today that a special train will leave Hyderabad tomorrow at 1600 hrs and reach Visakhapatnam at 0545 hrs, the next day.
