SWR to run special trains to ease Diwali rush

Bangalore, Oct 18 (UNI) The South Western Railway will run seven special trains to clear Diwali rush from Bangalore City, Yesvantpur, Hubli and Mysore via Bangalore and Yesvantpur to various destinations.

Train no.0689 would run from Bangalore City to Hubli tomorrow and on October 21 at 2300 hrs. Train no.0637 from Bangalore City to Ernakulam would run on October 20 at 1715 hrs, a SWR release here said.

While train no.0684 would run from Bangalore City to Chennai on October 20 at 2130 hrs, train no.0647 from Bangalore City to Nagercoil would run on October 22 at 1745 hrs.

Train no.0201 from Yesvantpur to Guwahati would run on October 23 at 2355 hrs and train no.0790 from Mysore via Bangalore City to Kachiguda would run on October 20 at 14.30 hrs. Train no.0671 would run on October 24 from Hiubli via Yesvantpur to Kochuveli at 2130 hrs, the release said.

OIL pays Rs 168 crore to government

New Delhi, Oct 18 (UNI) The Oil India Limited (OIL) has paid an amount of Rs 168 crore to the Centre as the final tranche of dividend at 80 per cent for the financial year 2005-2006. Guv prevails upon SEC to restrain Mulayam from distributing sops

Lucknow, Oct 18 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh Raj Bhawan has finally prevailed upon the state election commission to restrain Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav from distributing sops during the ongoing urban local body elections.
