Corruption cases: SVO to complete investigations in 1 yr

Jammu, Oct 18: Jammu and Kashmir State Vigilance Organisation (SVO) has set up a time-frame of one year for the completion of investigations into all corruption and embezzlement cases registered against the government officers, sources said here today.

''The efforts are being made to complete the investigation of all pending cases within the set time period and the official concerned were informed about it,'' the sources said.

To ensure speedy completion of the probe, the SVO had decided that only two cases would be assigned to an investigating officer (IO) in a year with directions to complete investigations within the set period, the sources added.
