Sugar eases further in Kolhapur sugar market

Kolhapur, Oct 18 (UNI) The prices of M 30 and S 30 grades of sugar further crash in Kolhapur sugar market by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 1,620/1,625 and Rs 1,610/1,615 per quintal, respectively.

There was no trading in the Kolhapur gur market today.

December turmeric futures rate in Sangli turmeric market today: Open 2490, close 2480, high 2490, low 2475 and spot rate 2400 per quintal.

Mumbai, Oct 18 (UNI) Bajaj Auto Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 317.59 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 289.36 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005, an increase of 9.75 per cent. Call rates trade high at range of 6.50-6.70 pc level, bonds subdued

Mumbai,Oct 18 (UNI) Call rates ended at 6.75-6.85 per cent (pc), against their previous close of 6.65-6.75 pc, having touched 6.90-7.00% levels during the day, money lender said. Higher demand for funds prompted the overnight funding costs to stay higher throughout the session. Concerns sustained over the dwindling state of liquidity in the system. At the LAF window, RBI accepted 9 bids worth Rs. 1,165 crore at the 1-day reverse repo auction.....

Mumbai, Oct 18 (UNI) Hindalco Industries Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 597.6 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006, as compared to Rs 313.8 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005, an increase of 90.43 per cent. Sadhvi, three others held in disappearance case

Nagpur, Oct 18 (UNI) The police in Amravati today arrested Jain Sadhvi Siddhishri and three others in connection with her mysterious disappearance from the city earlier this week. Amravati Commissioner of Police Jagan Nath said Siddhishri, formerly known as Samata Babulal Khabia (21), had fled to her lover Rajnikant alias Rajjubhai Talwar's (27) residence in Sangli, from where she was brought to the city this morning.
