Satyam promoters deny selling stake

Hyderabad, Oct 18 (UNI) The promoters of Satyam Computer Services today denied reports in a section of the media on the sale of their stake in the company to a global systems integrator.

In a statement here tonight, the company said it wished to put to rest any rumour of having entertained either directly or indirectly any such talk or dialogue with any global systems integrator.

The company also clarified it had no intention to do so even in future as it considered such a move to be not in the best interests of its stakeholders.

Patna, Oct 18 (UNI) Vigilance sleuths today caught red handed an official of personnel and administrative department here while allegedly accepting bribe. Additional Director General of Police in-charge of state Vigilance Bureau Neelmani said officer Anil Kumar Jha was arrested when he was found accepting Rs 10,000 in secretariat campus from Rajeev Ranjan Maurya, an engineer of Water Resources department. Pharmacy student dies under mysterious condition

Bhubaneswar, Oct 18 (UNI) Close on the heels of an agriculture student admitted to a hospital in a critical condition after alleged ragging, a pharmacy student here, died last night under mysterious condition, police today said. Police said one Bijaya Kumar Maharathi,student of Indira Gandhi Institutes of Pharmaceutical Sciences died while being taken to a private hospital for treatment. Monkey rescues from captivity inside Police station

Agartala, Oct 18 (UNI) Two hardcore militants of National Liberation front of Tripura, Biswa Mohan faction (NLFT-BM), today surrendered before the BSF in Udaipur sub-division in Tripura's South District this morning.
