Rs 18 Lakh looted from Purulia UBI branch

Purulia, Oct 18 (UNI) Unidentified miscreants today decamped with with Rs 18 lakh from a United Bank of India branch in Jhalda, 55 kms away from the district headquarters.

Purulia Superintendent of Police Asok Kumar Prasad said here that the search was on to nab the criminals.

Mr Prasad said that they fled towards Jharkhand.
