Renowned journalist Uday Dandekar dies

Pune, Oct 18 (UNI) General Secretary of Pune Shramik Patrakar Sangh Uday Dandekar died today following a massive heart attack.

He was 53 and is survived by his wife and son.

Hugely popular in journalistic circle and friend to all, Dandekar was currently working with CNN-IBN business channel as a reporter.

Dandekar in his career worked with Deshunnati, Dinman Cable network, and was also the Chief Reporter in Maharashtra Herald. He also worked with National News Agencies - UNI and PTI.

A large number of journalists both from print and electronic media attended the funeral held at vaikunth cremotorium early this morning.

BJP to step up stir if Afzal is not hanged: Naidu
