Hyderabad, Oct 18 (UNI) Principal of AP Social Welfare Residential Institutions Society, Challapally, Krishna district was trapped today when he demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 3,500.
The Principal S T P A Singanacharyulu had sought bribe from a catering contractor, for doing official favour of releasing the cheque for balance amount for the catering work done by him for the months of June, July and August, 2006.
Both the hand fingers of accused tested positive when subjected to chemical test and the tainted amount was recovered from his pant pocket, an official release said.
The accused would be produced before the Special Judge for ACB cases, Vijayawada.
