No need of third Deputy CM in Jharkhand: Sudhir Mahto

Dhanbad, Oct 18 (UNI) Deputy Chief Minister in the UPA-backed Madhu Koda government Sudhir Mahto, today ruled out any possibility of making a third deputy CM in the Jharkhand government.

Talking to UNI here, Mr Mahto said government was not going to make third deputy Chief Minister in the state and there was no conflict between the coalition partners regarding this issue.

Earlier, one of the ministers, Mr Anos Ekka, who was reported to be unsatisfied with the departments allocated to him by the government, had demanded to make the third deputy Chief Minister in the state.

On October Mr Sudhir Mahto and Stephen Marandi are the Deputy Chief Ministers in the Koda government.

Mr Mahto said all the ministers of Koda cabinet had joined their offices adding the berth of 12 ministers in the cabinet would be filled soon.

He alleged that the Opposition in the state was misguiding people by making ambiguous statements regarding the Koda government and claimed that it would complete its tenure successfully.

Hooda junior moots demand for dual MSP

Chandigarh, Oct 18 (UNI) Rohtak MP Deepender Hooda, son of Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, today demanded a system of dual Minimum Support Prices (MSP) in view of the varying costs of cultivation in different states.
