New Delhi, Oct 18 (UNI) Moving further towards its target of Rs 10,000 crore turnover by 2007, LG Electronics India (LGEIL) today unveiled refrigerator with in-built 15-inch hi-definition TFT LCD TV and FM radio set, besides nine other models in the DIOS range, for Indian customers.
The company is expecting a 35 per cent market share in refrigerator segment, with 40 per cent share in the frost free segment and 30 per cent share in the direct cool segment espectively.
''We are expecting a tremendous growth in the high-end refrigerator segment in India. With these launches, LG has streghtened its premium product product portfolio,'' LGEIL Deputy Managing Director Moon B Shin told reporters here.
LG had done a business of Rs 2,500 crore in this festive season starting August and expects it to cross Rs 5,500 crore. In addition, it is targeting a figure of Rs 1,450 crore in the calendar year in the entire refrigerator segment.
It had sold 12 lakh units in the frost free category and 32,000 lakh units in the direct cool category during the last calender year.
The just-launched DIOS range starts at Rs 80,000 to Rs 1,35,000.
The TV DIOS refrigerator is available for Rs 2,25,000.
The company's Pune facility is currently rolling out 80 per cent high-end use refrigerators and is expected to cross 90 per cent by next year.
The company is currently exporting its products to 40 different countries.
