ING Vysya Bank Q2 net up 110 pc to Rs 41.39 cr

Mumbai, Oct 18 (UNI) ING Vysya Bank Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 41.39 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006, as compared to Rs 19.70 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005, a rise of 110.10 per cent.

Announcing the results, the company said its total income has increased from Rs 372.02 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005, to Rs 424.40 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006.

New Delhi, Oct 18 (UNI) The Government will introduce the new Banking Regulation Bill in the winter session of Parliament and remove 10 per cent cap on voting rights in concerned stake holders to facilitate consolidation among private banks, Minister of State for Finance Pawan Kumar Bansal said today. Joint venture company for Assam Gas Cracker unit signed

New Delhi, Oct 18 (UNI) The integrated Petrochemical Complex proposed to be set up at Lepetkata of Dibrugarh district of Assam at a cost of Rs 5,460 crores shall be implemented by a Joint Venture Company (JVC) promoted by GAIL with 70 per cent equity participation. The remaining 30 per cent equity will be shared equally among OIL, NRL and Government of Assam. The project will be completed in 60 months from the date.....

Srinagar, Oct 18 (UNI) Security forces arrested a militant and an extortionist and seized arms and ammunition in Jammu and Kashmir since last evening, an official spokesman said today. He said the Army apprehended a militant and seized two hand grenades during a search operation at Chek-e-Raithan in central Kashmir district of Badgam today. Police also arrested an extortionist at Qazibagh in south Kashmir's Anantnag district today. He intruded into the house of Muneer Ahmad.....
