Ganguly not finished yet, says Rajeev Shukla

Dehradun, Oct 18 (UNI) Sourav Ganguly is not a spent force yet and he can force a comeback to the side with some steady performance in domestic cricket, according to BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla.

''Ganguly is not finished yet. If he performs well, the selectors would definitely consider him againm'' the BCCI official said here today.

Meanwhile, ending controversy over the formation of Uttaranchal Cricket Association, Mr Shukla said that the body would continue to function under the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association as before.

''Decision to this effect was taken by the BCCI board members and we would stick to our constitution,'' he said.

However, he added, the Board would make sincere effort to find out hidden cricket talents in Uttaranchal.

He said to promote the game, the state would also be given opportunity to host first class matches after reviewing infrastructure available in the state for such events.

''In future, BCCI might consider setting up a cricket academy in the state,'' he said.
