Duleep: C Zone hoping history will repeat itself

Gwalior, Oct 18 (UNI) The Central Zone is eyeing an action replay -- of the victory early this year over East Zone -- in the four-day Duleep Trophy encounter getting underway here tomorrow.

''Psychological pressure might have to be confronted as former Team India skipper Sourav Ganguly is leading the East but our players are in fine form. We hope to play a team including five bowlers and as many batsmen,'' Central Zone Coach Praveen Hingankar told journalists here today.

Central Zone captain and allrounder J P Yadav will also play the role of an additional bowler.

''No East Zone player will be targeted. Instead of banking on the competing team's weakness, we will endeavour to prove our skills,'' Hingankar added.

Meanwhile East Zone Coach Paras Mhambrey said, ''Ganguly's presence is a tremendous strong point. The final 11 will be decided tomorrow morning. Sourav will not be in the opening pair.'' Both coaches feel there is enough grass on the pitch and may benefit seamers in the initial phase.
