Jaipur, Oct 18 (UNI) The district administration has relaxed curfew in Gharsana and Raola township in Ganganagar district in Rajasthan for two hours in the evening from 1600 hrs with improvement in the situation there.

The administration had relaxed curfew restrictions in the twin township for one hour in the morning from 0800 hrs for people to purchase essential commodities.

The district administration called in troops and imposed curfew in Gharsana and Raola yesterday, after the one week long farmers agitation in the area demanding extra water from the Indira Gandhi canal turned violent. The troops today also conducted a flag march as the situation is limping back to normalcy.

Meanwhile, the lawyers of the city court continued with their strike and took out procession for the second day today in support of the farmers demand. The lawyers were demanding the release of the farmer's leaders arrested and proper treatment of the injured in police action.

The district administration has turned down the request of a Sikh delegation to visit Gharsana today. The SGPC sponsored delegation wanted to visit Gharsana to study the situation arising out of the report of the police entering a Gurdwara and beating up the priest and the devotees there during the clash between the farmers and police on Monday.
