Congress MP's daughter attempts suicide

Kolkata, Oct 18 (UNI) Congress MP Adhir Choudhury's daughter Shrayoshi was today seriously injured after she jumped from her apartment in south Kolkata.

She was rushed to a private hospital where her condition was stated to be critical, police said.

Police suspect that the 11th standard student was suffering from depression and had attempted to commit suicide.

Meanwhile, Mr Choudhury, Lok Sabha member from Berhampur in Murshidabad district, was informed about the accident and he was on his way to the city.
