Castrol India to open more Bikezone centres

Vijayawada, Oct 18 (UNI) To tap the growing motorcycle service market, Castrol India Limited will open more Castrol Bikezone motorcycle service centres by the end of 2006.

Talking to newspersons after launching a new centre here today, Castrol Bikezone Division Business Head Parinjay said the service centre had latest equipments and expert mechanics trained by Castrol to provide quality service to customers.

There were currently 47 Castrol Bikezones operating in 12 cities across the country, he said and added by the end of 2006, the figure would go up to 100 in 18 cities.

Mr Parinjay said the market share of motorcycle service in the country was about Rs 6,000 crore and it was expected to touch Rs 12,000 crore in the next five years.

Currently, about six crore two wheelers were on the roads in the country and the number would go up to ten crore in the next four years.

Presently, the Castrol Limited had a training centre at Chennai to train the mechanics and two more would come up at Pune and Delhi in the next two months, he added.

Military Police celebrates raising day

AIIMS Institute Body seek Venugopal's comment on issues of concerns

New Delhi, Oct 18:  The Insitute Body of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences met today and sought clarification from AIIMS Director P Venugopal on a number of issues including ''discrimination with SC/ST students, financial irregularities, administrative deficiencies and indiscipline.'' Briefing mediapersons about a over two-hour-long meeting which was boycotted of BJP leader V K Malhotra, Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss said the meeting discussed the functioning and state of afffairs at the AIIMS. Dengue death toll 35 in Delhi

New Delhi, Oct 17 (UNI) With dengue showing no signs of abating, the toll in Delhi rose to 35 as one more patient died in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). Twentyfive-year old Rohit Sharma, a resident of Bareilly, succumbed to dengue fever last night. He was admitted to the institute in critical condition last night and died within an hour. The reported number of dengue cases in Delhi has crossed 1,637, officials.....
