Case against BJP MLA for damaging Vidhan Sabha gate

Shimla, Oct 18 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Police has registered a case against BJP MLA Hari Narayan Saini for allegedly damaging Vidhan Sabha gate on October 4, Shimla SP AP Singh today said.

The case was registered against Mr Saini after the police received a letter from the Vidhan Sabha that he had damaged the public property by ramming his vehicle into the gate after it failed to open.

Mr Singh said action would be taken against the accused if he was found guilty.

Mumbai, Oct 18 (UNI) The Bombay High Court today directed that Bare Acts be made available at all district headquarters. A division bench, comprising justices R M Lodha and S A Bobde, passed the directions while disposing of a public interest litigation filed by Adv M P Vashi. Ujjain, MP, Oct 18: A district and sessions court today rejected a bail plea by four persons accused of slaying Prof Harbhajan Singh Sabharwal on August 26 during student violence that followed postponement of an union poll at the local Madhav College.Six accused are in judicial custody at the Central Jail here.The Crime Investigation Department had arrested the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad's then state president Shashiranjan Singh Akela, general seretary Vimal Tomar and others. DMAT: MP govt order to collectors

Bhopal, Oct 18 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Medical Education Department has ordered district collectors concerned to inquire into alleged irregularities in admission to private medical and dental colleges and submit reports by October 26. Complaints were received by the Judges Committee and state government from Mr Vijay Das of the Jan Vikas Manch, Bhopal, and others.
