Bus overturns: 1 killed, 18 hurt

Ambikapur, Oct 18 (UNI) One person was killed and 18 others, including 2 children and 5 women, were injured when a private bus in overturned near Surajpur in Sarguja district of Chhattisgarh.

Bus conductor Mohan, 35, died on the spot. The bus which was on it way from Manendragarh overturned while avoiding collision with a tractor about 45 Km from here yesterday, police said. The injured were being treated at Surajpur.

Rohtak, Oct 18 (UNI) Osmania University defeated Pune University 14-5 in the opening match of the All-India Inter University Korfball Championship which commenced at Maharshi University (MDU) here today. In the other matches, Panjab University, Chandigarh beat Nagpur University 13-5, while Ch Devi Lal University, Sirsa thrashed GGDU, Bilaspur 15-0. AP Govt allots land for cricket academy

Vijayawada, Oct 18 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Government would allot 7.28 acres of land to Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) to construct a full-fledged indoor cricket academy at Madhuravada in Visakhapatnam.
