New Delhi, Oct 18 (UNI) BJP today remained non-committal about the entry of late leader Pramod Mahajan's son Rahul Mahajan into the party and said it was a matter between the youngster and party president.

Asked about Mr Mahajan's announcement in Mumbai that he would sit on a dharna seeking implementation of Supreme Court's death sentence order for Mohammad Afzal, the convict of Parliament attack, BJP Spokesman Ravi Shankar Prasad said Mr Mahajan was part of the BJP family and was free to express his views. Asked if this could be viewed as a formal entry into the party, he said it was a matter between Mr Mahajan and BJP president.

Observers, however, feel that his entry into the BJP was likely to be delayed because the party would like him to get cleared by the court in the drug abuse case.
