21 new suspected dengue cases reported in PGIMER

Chandigarh, Oct 18 (UNI) In the last 24 hours, 21 new cases of suspected dengue fever have been reported in the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) here.

An official spokesperson said 52 patients were admitted in the hospital and one patient was in a critical condition.

Till date, 319 patients of suspected dengue fever have been treated in the PGIMER, she added.

Kochi, Oct 18 (UNI) The Kerala High Court today declined to stay the Chief Information Officer (CIO)'s order asking the state government to furnish a copy of the judicial inquiry report into the Marad carnage to an applicant under the Right To Information (RTI) Act. Print media popularity on rise: Naveen

Bhubaneswar, Oct 18 (UNI) Despite the advent of electronic media in round the clock news coverage, the popularity of the print media is still rising in the country, according to Orissa chief minister Naveen Patnaik. Addressing the 10th Anniversary of language daily 'Samaya', here today, Mr Patnaik said the presence of electronic media has not checked the popularity of print media. ABVP burn effigies of Afzal

Guwahati, Oct 18 (UNI) The Asom ABVP today burnt effigies of Mohd Afzal and demanded that he be hanged to death and the President should not pardon him as he was anti national and involved in the attack on Parliament. DCHFC presents dividend cheque to Lt Governor
