Mysore, Oct 13 (UNI) Karnataka Government will not hesitate to ban organisation which involve in anti-social activities and disturb peace in the State, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy said today.
Talking to newsmen at B C Halli in Bannur Taluk in the District, he said that ''it was a bounden duty of the government to safe guard both people and the state from such anti-social organisations which not only disturb peace but leads to loss of public property. ''There was no alternative to the government but to ban such illegal organisations. The ban was necessary not only to protect the property but also to arrest spread of such activities to other parts of the State.
Stating that the government has sought special information from both the Administration and Police on the recent communal violence in Mangalore City and nearby areas leading to death of two people and more than 100 injured besides leading to loss property, he said that the Government would take serious note on the incident and discuss with Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister and take steps to see that such incidents were not repeated.
He said that since investors were eager to invest in two tier cities like Mangalore, Mysore, Hubli-Dharawd, it is bounden duty of the government to create proper atmosphere to facilitate the investors.
Mr Kumaraswamy said that he would visiting Mangalore on October 19 and after discussion would take final decision about giving compensation to the family members of those killed and injured in the violence.
The Chief Minister alleged that some anti social elements and some people were behind the incident in order to defame the government. However, he do not want to disclose the names at this juncture and not wish to discuss the issue in the public.
Referring to appointment of heads to various Boards and Corporations, he said that the process has already began and it appointment would be made soon.
When his attention on death of a tiger in the Mysore Zoo due to lack of proper understanding between the Zoo authorities and Forest Officials, he said that he has already taken up the issue with Forest Minister and had convened a meeting after October 25 to discuss the issue.
Replying to another question, he said that he would discuss with Bharatiya Janata Party about filing a common candidate in Chamundeswari Assembly constituency fallen vacant following resignation of former Deputy Chief Minister S Siddaramaiah to join Congress from Janata Dal (Secular).
