Chennai, Sep 30 (UNI) Union Minister of Overseas Indian Affairs Vayalar Ravi today inaugurated the one-day international conference on the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) 'Accounting Profession in South-Asian Region-Values and Perspectives'.
The conference was organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Ravi said the challenge of 'Inclusive development' had to be addressed to ensure that the poor and the deprived have access to education, healthcare and economic opportunities.
'We have to adopt a system and procedure facilitating social security for the youngsters. Coalition of governance between the States and the Central will result in overall development of our country'', he said.
Since agriculture was the important component for the development of any country, the problems concerning the sector had to be addressed, he added.
