Twelve teams for Aeromarine cricket Cup

New Delhi, Sep 30 (UNI) Defending champion Oscar Shipping, runners-up Schaefco Internationals are among the 12-teams who will be vying for top honour in the 6th Aeromarine cricket Cup starting here from tomorrow.

Other teams taking part in this league-cum-knock out tournament are Aeromarine Logistics, LCL Agencies, Freight Systems, SPG Shipping, Associated Container Terminals Ltd, Aqua Logistics,Reliable Shipping, Expeditors International and C.M.T. (Bombay) Ltd.

Organiser of the tournament Swaraj Mohanty said here today that the teams have been drawn into two pools.The pool matches will be played on a league basis.

Top two teams from each pool will qualify for the semi finals, which will be played on a knock-out basis and the final is slated for October 17.

Mr Sarvinder Singh of Aeromarine Logistics said the tournament has become popular within the Shipping Industry and "we will make it bigger from next year".

Spurt in dengue cases in Delhi, AIIMS student dies

New Delhi, Sep 30 (UNI) A final year medical student died of dengue today at the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) amid a spurt in the disease in the capital. Raj Kiran, a student hailing from Andhra Pradesh, was shifted to the neurosurgery ICU after suffering a massive brain haemorrhage due to dengue virus infection, but could not be saved, hospital sources said.
