Three villagers slain by naxals

Jagdalpur, Sep 30 (UNI) Three villagers, including a former sarpanch, were killed by naxals for their involvement in anti-naxal 'Salwa Judum' campaign at Bijapur Police District in Chhattisgarh's Dantwara district, police said today.

Kader village-resident and former sarpanch Kowaram, Tomnar village-resident Korsa and Mugler village-resident Manja Bajja were murdered last night.

The ultras barged into their houses and slew them.

Mandsaur, MP, Sep 30 (UNI) Police have seized 410 kg opium and arrested one person in this connection near Sitamau area in this district, police said today. On a tip-off, police stopped a water tanker near Sitamau yesterday and searched it. Jalaur-resident driver Jagdish was arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. Arrah, Sep 30 (UNI) Police here today seized brown sugar worth Rs two crore and arrested five smugglers from separate places in Bhojpur district. District Police Superintendent Umesh Kumar Singh said acting on a tip off a police team conducted a raid at Krman Tola under Nawada police station area and Kashap village area here. Bungling allegation in Delhi Bar Association election

New Delhi, Sep 30 (UNI) Advocate Devendra Nath Pal today alleged that he was deprived of contesting the election of the Delhi Bar Association as his name was deliberately deleted from the voters' list. Mr Pal said he had filed his nomination for the post of President of the Delhi Bar Association at Tis Hazari District Courts in the Capital.
