Slight tremor felt in Koyna, southwest Gujarat

Pune, Sept 30: An earthquake of low intensity mesuring 2.5 on Richter Scale was felt at Koyna region in Western Maharashtra today.

The Meteorological office, Pune said the earthquake of slight intensity with its epicentre at Latitude 17.4 degrees north and Longitude 73.8 degree East shook Koyna at 0523 hrs.

Another earthquake temor measuring 3.4 on Richter Scale was felt in southwest of Gujarat region at 0547 hrs today.

The epicentre of the quake was at Latitude 21.9 degrees North and Longitude 69.8 degrees East, Meteorological office sources added.

Farmers not to be compelled by MIDC to sell land
