Dharamsala,Sep 30 (UNI) R P Singh ran through the Sialkot middle-order as Uttar Pradesh trounced the Paksitani team by a whopping 316-run margin to lift the inaugural Mohammad Nissar here today.
Batting to stay in the game after UP set an improbable 429-run target, Sialkot were reduced to for 112 for seven just after lunch with R P taking four for 26. With Sialkot missing the services of Khalid Mahmood, Imran Nazir and Mohammad Asif due to injury, it spelt a humiliating defeat for the Pakistani national champions.
After the Ranji Champions declared, their second essay for 373 for seven in the morning, the bowlers wrecked havoc on Sialkot and Praveen Kumar provided an early breakthough as the Ranji Champions sniffed victory.
Opener Shahid Yousuf (5) completely misread a Praveen delivery which found the batsman plumb infront. Sialkot scorecard read 11 for one in the eighth over.
