Recent Mumbai blasts accused arrested

Hyderabad, Sep 30 (UNI) An accused in the recent blasts in Mumbai was arrested by the Mumbai special branch police here today.

According to police sources, the accused Naved was arrested by police at an apartment near Naredmet area in the city. He was later taken to Mumbai.

Police said Naved had come to the city immediately after the blasts in Mumbai.

Mr Naved was an employee in a call centre here.

Allahabad, Sep 30 (UNI) Veteran freedom fighter, senior journalist and former Uttar Pradesh information minister P D Tandon died in a city hospital today following prolonged illness. He was 95. Mr Tandon had actively participated in the freedom struggle and was jailed several times.
