Rainfall predicted in MP

Bhopal, Sep 30 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh is expected to receive rainfall courtesy a low-pressure area built in upper atmosphere of southern Chhattisgarh.

Meteorological department said rainfall occurred in various parts of Chhattisgarh, including in Bastar and Raipur divisions, due to low-pressure area built over southern part of that state.

Jagdalpur turned out to be the wettest place overnight recording seven cm rainfall, while Raipur, Champa and Pendra received two cm rainfall each. Heavy rainfall was forecasted in Chhattisgarh in the next 24 hours.

Showers accompanied with lightning were predicted in Jabalpur, Indore, Bhopal and Hoshangabad divisions of Madhya Pradesh.

The state capital witness a sunny sky this morning, while showers lashed the city in late afternoon.

Congress constitues coordination committee

Patna, Sep 30 (UNI) All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary Digvijay Singh has constituted a 14 member coordination committee to make the party vibrant and effective in Bihar. State AICC spokesman Prem Chandra Mishra said the cordination committee had been constituted under the chairmanship of the Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee(BPCC) president Sadanand Singh.
