MP snatches boys title, Maharashtra retains girls

Margao, Sep 30 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh boys blanked Maharashtra 2-0 to win the Narang Cup title in the finals of the West Zone Interstate Badminton championship played at Multi-puropose hall here today.

In the girls' events, defending champions Maharashtra beat Madhya Pradesh 2-0 to retain the Shafi Quareshi cup.

In the boys' singles final, MP's Saurabh Verma defeated Prasad Shetty 16-21, 21-18, 21-19, while in the doubles Abhimanyu Singh along with his partner Prateek beat Maharastra's Samrudh R and Ankush J 19-21, 21-18, 22-20.

In the girls' singles finals, Maharashtra's Arundhati Pantawane beat MP's Trupti Lavaniya 23-21, 21-18, while in the doubles Sweta K and Pradnya G downed Trupti L and Vijeta B 22-20, 21-19.

Vasan Health Care to go for IPO
