Manoranjan is Kandla Port deputy chairman

Ahmedabad, Sep 30 (UNI) Manoranjan Kumar has taken over as deputy chairman of Kandla Port Trust with effect from September 25.

Mr Kumar is an officer of Indian Economic Service (IES) and he has worked in the Ministry of Finance, as director as well as additional advisor to the Department of Economic Affairs.

Anand, Sep 30 (UNI) Nine people, including six children, of a family were killed when a truck in which they were travelling overturned on Vasad-Bagodara highway at Indralej village near Tarapur early today. Pune, Sept 30: An earthquake of low intensity mesuring 2.5 on Richter Scale was felt at Koyna region in Western Maharashtra today.The Meteorological office, Pune said the earthquake of slight intensity with its epicentre at Latitude 17.4 degrees north and Longitude 73.8 degree East shook Koyna at 0523 hrs.Another earthquake temor measuring 3.4 on Richter Scale was felt in southwest of Gujarat region at 0547 hrs today.The epicentre of the quake was at Latitude 21.9.....

Jakhar seeks legal status of RSS ban lifting

Bhopal, Sep 30 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Governor Balram Jakhar has sought clarification from the state's BJP government on the 'legal status' of its decision to lift ban on government employees from participating in the activities of RSS.
