Congress constitues coordination committee

Patna, Sep 30 (UNI) All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary Digvijay Singh has constituted a 14 member coordination committee to make the party vibrant and effective in Bihar.

State AICC spokesman Prem Chandra Mishra said the cordination committee had been constituted under the chairmanship of the Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee(BPCC) president Sadanand Singh.

He futher said Union ministers like Meira Kumar, Shakeel Ahmad and legislators Ashok Kumar and Mahachandra Prasad Singh would be the members of the committee.

As per the directive of party high comand similar committees had been constituted in other states also, he added.

Pakistan gives assurances on Taliban: Karzai

Pakistan asks India for Mumbai blasts' evidence

ISLAMABAD, Sep 30 (Reuters) Pakistan today said India shouldn't point fingers without evidence, after Mumbai police blamed Pakistani spies and militants for a series of blasts that killed 186 people in Mumbai on July 11. Sri Lanka set out on Champions Trophy trail

COLOMBO, Sep 30 (Reuters) Sri Lanka left for the Champions Trophy in India today with captain Mahela Jayawardene urging his players to quickly rediscover their hunger for winning. Jayawardene said Sri Lanka were in good shape after three weeks of intensive training and looking forward with confidence to the 12-team mini-World Cup.
