BSNL announces new schemes for AP customers

Hyderabad, Sep 30: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) Andhra Pradesh Circle Chief General Manager R K Arnold today announced new schemes on the eve of BSNL Day tomorrow.

Addressing the press here, Mr Arnold said under 'Plan-399, Plan-599 and Plan-899' customers can make free unlimited calls within BSNL Circle. The schemes would be launched in Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada.

The 'Rental Waiver Scheme' will be available to customers booking landline connections between October one and October 31.

The rebate on rental will be applicable for the first and sixth month billing and the maximum benefit would be limited to Rs 250 a month.

BSNL was also offering full talk time on recharge coupons of Rs 1,122, Rs 2,245 and Rs 3,367 on the occasion of Dussehra and Diwali.

Mr Arnold said the BSNL AP Circle's revenue increased by ten per cent even as profits grew 45 per cent during 2005-06.

6 more children rescued, Bangle factory owners arrested

Mega block on central rlw suburban sections

Mumbai, Sep 30: Central Railway will operate Mega block on its suburban sections tomorrow for carrying out maintenance work in its harbour and main line.In view of the maintenance work UP/DN traffic on Harbour line from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus to Vashi, Belapur, Panvel and vice versa will remain cancelled from 0950 hrs to 1553 hrs. Tripura Govt demands rail expansion works

Agartala, Sep 30 (UNI) Tripura government has demanded the Rail Ministry to immediately start the expansion works of rail lines upto Sabroom in south district for the state's development. The Rail Ministry, in a letter to the Tripura Transport Minister Manik Dey recently said the rail line upto Sabroom would not be profitable.
