410 kg opium seized, one held

Mandsaur, MP, Sep 30 (UNI) Police have seized 410 kg opium and arrested one person in this connection near Sitamau area in this district, police said today.

On a tip-off, police stopped a water tanker near Sitamau yesterday and searched it. Jalaur-resident driver Jagdish was arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. The water tanker was seized.

New Delhi, Sep 30 (UNI) Advocate Devendra Nath Pal today alleged that he was deprived of contesting the election of the Delhi Bar Association as his name was deliberately deleted from the voters' list. Mr Pal said he had filed his nomination for the post of President of the Delhi Bar Association at Tis Hazari District Courts in the Capital. However, his name was deleted from the list despite paying the association dues till December.....
